Charter Senior Living of Franklin hosted a ribbon cutting celebrating its grand re-opening Thursday. The independent living, assisted living and memory care facility recently transitioned from serving the community as Morningside of Franklin to Charter.

Residents, staff and Williamson Inc. members attended the event that featured music, free food and drinks.

“Whether you are looking for high-quality senior living for yourself or a loved one, independent living, assisted living and memory care at Charter Senior Living enhances the human spirit,” the Charter Senior Living website reads. “By creating senior lifestyle communities that radiate love, inspiration, compassion and joy, our residents lead happier, healthier, more fulfilling lives — wherever they may be on their journeys.

We are known for providing extraordinary care and service. Ultimately, choosing Charter means investing in a joyful and vibrant experience that is genuine, helpful, easy, uplifting and trustworthy.”

Emily Nesbitt, executive director of Charter’s Franklin location, spoke to the crowd before cutting the ribbon, saying she was proud of the organization’s dedication to safety and fun.

“We pride ourselves on being that clean, smaller environment that really does give that personalized care,” Nesbitt said. “Our vibrant programing offers countless choices and opportunities to live a full connected life. Moving to assisted living can be super exciting. It can be fun. It doesn’t have to be the end or this horrible chapter. We want it to be fun.”

More than 40 medical, programming and cleaning professionals work in the facility.
